DESCRIPTION:This meeting is in-person\, for more information please check t
	he meeting agenda. A SHAC is a school board appointed advisory group of in
	dividuals who represent different segments of the community. By law\, a ma
	jority of the members must be persons who are parents of students enrolled
	 in the district and who are not employed by the district. The AISD SHAC i
	s made up of parents\, community members\, students\, and school staff wor
	king together to improve the health of all students and families through c
	oordinated school health programs. Texas law requires all school districts
	 to have a SHAC. Learn more about SHAC Bylaws. The AISD School Health Advi
	sory Council meets on a Wednesday of every month\, with the exception of J
	uly and August\, from 6:00–7:30 p.m. Meetings will be held in a training
	 room at the new AISD Headquarters located at 4000 S. IH-35 Frontage Road\
	, 78704 unless otherwise noted. Membership to the SHAC is by annual school
	 board appointment. Meetings are open to all interested persons please see
