School District Partners with City of ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø to Help Families Prepare for School Year

AUSTIN, Texas--ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø ISD and the City of ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø will hold a press conference during the Back-to-School Bash on Saturday. 

Who: ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø ISD Interim Superintendent Dr. Paul Cruz and ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø City Council Mayor Pro Tem Sheryl Cole.

What: AISD and community partners will provide families information about how to prepare students for the 2014-15 academic year, including safety information. Hart Elementary School students will demonstrate how to be safe on crosswalks.

When: 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 16

Where: ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Convention Center, 500 E. Cesar Chavez St., Ballroom F (Up the escalator on Level 4)

Background: The Back-to-School Bash informs AISD parents and students about district and community resources available to families for a safe and successful start to the new school year. This is an initiative of the Department of Communications and Community Engagement and the City of ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Safe Routes to School Program.
