Refugee & Immigrant Information
ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø ISD continues its commitment to support newly arrived refugee, immigrant, asylum-seeking, and newcomer students and their families. Schools work in partnership with district departments and community organizations to help students access educational services, connect with available resources, and successfully transition into their new school community.
Who We Serve
ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø ISD supports newly arrived students and their families, including:
- Refugees: Individuals who were forced to flee their home country because of a well-founded fear of persecution and arrived in the United States with refugee status.
- Asylees: Individuals who have been granted asylum in the United States because they are unable or unwilling to return to their home country due to a well-founded fear of persecution.
- Newcomers: Students who are new to the United States and do not qualify as refugees or asylees.
Registration Support
Families can register their child at their assigned ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø ISD campus. Campus staff are available to assist with enrollment and can connect families with district programs and community resources, as needed.
